DUNCRAIG
Nestled in the heart of Duncraig, this 1980s-style home was in need of a major refresh. Outdated design elements, cluttered spaces, and worn-out materials made the home feel dark and uninviting. Our renovation aimed to modernise the layout, enhance functionality, and bring a fresh, contemporary aesthetic to this beloved home.
After the Transformation
The renovation breathed new life into the home, creating a sleek and inviting space with modern, high-end finishes. Clean lines and a neutral colour palette create a sophisticated and timeless look, while light wood-finish cabinetry adds warmth and elegance, complementing the fresh, modern aesthetic. Statement pendant lights not only provide functional illumination but also add a stylish focal point. A spacious island with a waterfall-edged benchtop enhances usability and serves as the heart of the kitchen. White subway tiles, integrated appliances, and an open-plan layout maximise space and natural light, resulting in a bright and airy atmosphere.
Before the Renovation
The original house featured arched openings and dim lighting, which, while charming in their era, contributed to a closed-in, dated feel. An awkwardly placed reception-style counter disrupted the flow of the living space, while the kitchen's beige cabinetry and mixed flooring, along with a ceiling in need of repair, made the space feel tired and disjointed.
